Evangeline combined 30 years of strategic leadership consulting with Fortune 500 companies and 20 years of financial coaching with philanthropic and academic institutions to create something truly special: her very own company called Growing Your Personal Wealth, LLC.
About GYPW
The Owner and CEO
Evangeline is a personal finance coach and educator who believes that debt-free living is essential for achieving your dreams. Her passion for financial coaching ignited in 2013 when she cofounded Lady Moguls, a network of professional Black women in D.C. to become more intentional about their personal finances. In 2012, she joined a local philanthropic organization as a financial coach and in 2017 began teaching money management courses in Fairfax County. These experiences paved the way for Evangeline to launch GYPW. She now focuses on income and debt management, teaching Black and Brown career professionals to get organized in their finances and create a financial plan to pay off debt, build an emergency fund, and start wealth building.
Evangeline isn’t just about business; she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and creating fun moments with family and close friends. She also gives back to her community by continuing to serve as a financial coach with Britepaths and as Treasurer of her homeowners association board.
Our Mission & Vision
GYPW is dedicated to assisting Black and Brown career professionals with effective debt management strategies, enabling them to get out of debt now so they can:
- Own and amass wealth earlier in life for financial independence and abundance.
- Make significant investments in communities of color to stimulate local economies.
- Transfer greater wealth to the next generations, increasing our economic and political power to create positive change in the world.
Our Philosophy & Approach
We believe that members of Black and Brown communities would choose to live debt-free if they had the collective knowledge and skills to make it happen. GYPW teaches debt management through financial coaching to create more options that enrich our lives in pursuit of our talents, passions, and purpose.
GYPW combines education (seminars) and real-life application (consultations) to teach Black and Brown career professionals how to use their most powerful wealth-building tool—their monthly income—to get out of debt and build and transfer wealth.

She shares her personal finance philosophy and money management strategies in an authentic and relatable style, inspiring audiences to look at their finances differently.
